Kanha National Park is one of the largest national park in Madhya Pradesh. Today it stretches around 940 sq km in two districts of Mandla and Balaghat. Kanha National Park was ranked among the top 10 famous destination for tourists. It has a significant population of Royal Bengal Tiger,Barasingha, Indian leopard, sloth bear, and Indian wild dog.
Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve (TATR) is located in Chandrapur district of Maharashtra, India. It is Maharashtra’s oldest and largest national park created in 1995. The area of the reserve is 625.40 sq. Km. Unarguably it is rated best tiger reserve in central India by travellers because of maximum tiger sighting during safari.
Pench National Park is situated in Seoni and Chindwara districts of MP India. It derives its name from the Pench river that flows through the park from north to south deviding the park into almost equal western and eastern halves of Seoni and Chindwara districts respectively. It was notified as tiger reserve in 1983. Total area of the park is 758 sq km. Out of which 299 sq km form core area.
Tipeshwar Wildlife Sanctuary comprising of 148.63 T sq.km. which came into existence on 30/04/1997. It is situated in far southern corner of Maharashtra state. The Sanctuary is in the Pandharkawda taluka. The Pandharkawda bus station on NH-7 is about 22 km while Adilabad railway station in Telangana and Yavatmal railway station in Maharashtra are closest to the Sanctuary.
Pench National park of Maharashtra which shares its border with MP’s pench national park. Both being the same jungle but divided by geographical boundary posses abundance of flora and fauna. Pench has derived its name from the river Pench which bisects the reserve in two equal parts. The total area of Pench National Park and Tiger reserve is about 257 sq km.
Jim Corbett National Park is the oldest national park in India and was established in 1936 as Hailey National Park to protect the endangered Bengal Tiger. It is located in Nainital district of Uttarakhand and was named after Jim Corbett who played major role in its establishment. The magical landscape of Corbett is well known for its Tiger richness. Its whole area comprise of hills, vast grasslands, marshy depressions, reverie belts and large lakes.
